It was compounded for temples, for kings and for queens, over weeks, from materials carried across deserts and oceans. Somewhere along the way, the ritual was forgotten.

KYPHI
Sixteen materials. An oil-based extrait at temple concentration. Reconstructed from the inscriptions at the Temple of Edfu, where the formula was carved into the wall of the perfume chamber so it could not be forgotten.
